Anil has over 35 years of experience in the field of people management and consulting. He has consistently partnered with Senior Leadership and Boards in building high-performing leadership teams, resulting in better company performance.

He has worked with MNCs as well as diverse Indian Promoter-led organizations and has managed start-ups, scale & complexity. He was instrumental in building leadership teams for several organizations including Fullerton India, Novell Inc USA, The Piramal Group, and The Bombay Dyeing Group.

Anil has worked extensively in Financial Services, Technology, Retail, Real Estate, and the Hospitality sectors. Prior to venturing into Executive Search Consulting, Anil was the Executive Vice President & Chief People Officer with Fullerton India, a leading NBFC with over 16,000 people, headquartered in Mumbai and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Temasek Holdings Pte, Singapore.

Some of his other leadership roles include the Piramal Group as Senior Vice President & Head of Group HR and Director HR, Indian Subcontinent with the USA based IT leader, Novell Inc. Anil initially spent 8 years with the hospitality industry leader Oberoi Hotels in a customer-facing role.

Anil regularly addresses various industry forums and is often invited to serve as a member of a jury or an advisory committee. He was invited for consultation by members of a sub-committee formed under The Planning Commission of India to make recommendations to remodel the Apprenticeship regime in the country. The Retail Association of India (RAI) invited Anil to be a member of the Sector Skill Council set up by the National Skill Development Corporation, a not-for-profit company set up by the Ministry of Finance to create a trained workforce to cater to the growth of the Retail industry.

He continues to write for several leading publications, sharing his learning and contributing to the development of Human Resources in India, and has earned several industry honors and awards.

Anil has traveled across the globe and has wide exposure to international HR best practices, having worked with some of the best HR and business professionals worldwide.

Anil is an MBA from NMIMS, with a law degree from Ruparel’s New Law College and a gold medallist in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management from Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan.

Anil will lead the BFSI & Real Estate Practice at Stella Martin.
