Raj has over 35 years of experience leading some of India’s and the globe’s finest businesses; and has worked through various levels with them, in their stages of growth.

He has worked with MNCs as well as highly professional large Indian Promoter-led organizations. Raj was associated with several organizations across Consumer, FMCG, Financial Services, & Real Estate sectors. Asian Paints, Marico Industries, GE Money, Tata AIG, Fullerton India, and Hirco, are some of the Companies he has worked with. Raj Co-Founded Marketspan Consultants, a Strategy consulting company, where he is Managing Director.

Raj started his career with FMCG major Asian Paints where he rose to be Branch Manager, and subsequently Marico Industries where he was Regional Sales Manager & Business Development Manager. His Financial Services & Insurance stints took him to GE Money where he led Operations as COO to create a Billion Dollar Asset Business. Subsequently, he was Sr Vice President of Marketing with TATA AIG, in their early stages of Creating a Brand; and building an Organization. He then went on to lead the SME business for Singapore-based Temasek’s Indian NBFC entity, Fullerton India where he was also a Member of the Board. Raj was the CEO for Hirco, Homes, and Offices, which is part of the Real Estate major The Hiranandani Group, and served on their Board as well.

In Marketspan Consultants, for the past 10 years, he has worked as an Advisor, Coach & Mentor to various SMEs and Startups, guiding and enabling them on their growth journey. In the Start-up Ecosystem, Raj mentors and guides Business Incubators, and serves on Investment Committees for them as well.

A published author, Raj also has two successful books to his credit, in the SME Industry space and the Start-up Journeys. Often a key speaker at Education Institutions, Raj shares his rich experiences and perspective, with young aspiring minds, influencing and enabling their journeys too!

Raj is an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Bangalore, with an Engineering Degree from the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Rourkela, and lives & operates out of Mumbai.

Raj will play the role of Advisor & Enabler at Stella Martin, Advising & guiding the team, with special emphasis in the Consumer, FMCG, Retail, Wealth Management, Real Estate, Private Equity, and Private Banking practice, as we build a successful, quality and customer-oriented Organization.
